The Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George in Alton, IL  invite all young women of 17-30 years of age to Come if you Love

It doesn't matter if you are seriously discerning or just curious to learn more about what life as a sister is really like!  Come one come all.

Retreat includes:

  • Praying with the Sisters
  • Daily Mass
  • Vocation Panel
  • Convent tour
  • Recreation
  • Learning about the Sister's life

Arrival: Friday night between 6:30 and 7pm.

SVDP TRIVIA NIGHT...The Society of St. Vincent De Paul's original young adult chapter will be hosting its Third Annual Trivia Night on Saturday, March 8, at 7:00 p.m.  The evening, held at St. Vincent Parish Hall (1408 South 10th Street, 63104) will feature fun, prizes, beer, soda, and snacks.  Tables are $15 per person ($20 at the door) for teams of up to eight.  Funds will provide utility and rental assistance to the needy of the LaSalle Park, Peabody, and Soulard areas.  To find out more or make a reservation, please call Steve at (314) 231-9328 (press 1, then 9) or write to

Join the Office of Youth Ministry along with Archbishop Burke and Bishop Hermann this Palm Sunday March 16, 2008 from 1-5 as we celebrate YOU- the youth.  This will conclude the pilgrimage of the World Youth Day pilgrim cross throughout our diocese.    Holy Mass will be celebrated along with a talk, praise and worship, and time to recognize the youth for their dedication to following Christ.

Come and See Weekends are an opportunity for high school age men, considering a vocation to the priesthood, to visit Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. 

Join us for a few days while you experience the Cardinal Glennon College Program.  Meet the students and staff of the Seminary.  Visit Saint Louis University where the collegian seminarians attend classes.  Associate with other high school age men discerning the possibility of priesthood. 

The weekend includes staying at the Seminary from Saturday through Monday.  On Sunday your family is invited to join us for the 9:00 a.m. Mass, followed by brunch.  On Monday you will be able to experience life at Saint Louis University as a seminarian.
