“Friends of the Poor – walk a mile in my shoes”

On Saturday, September 27, 2008, the feast of St. Vincent de Paul, there will be a nationwide walk for the poor. “Friends of the Poor – walk a mile in my shoes” is being sponsored by the National Office of the St. Vincent de Paul Society to help bring awareness of the needs of the poor. The money collected for participation in this walk will stay with the St. Vincent de Paul Society in your local parish. Many times, people in your own area will contact the St. Vincent de Paul Society to help with utility payments, food and the necessities of life. This is a way you can help!

Time:  Registration    2:30 p.m.
          Walk (SLUH Track)  3:00 p.m.
          Mass    4:00 p.m.
          Refreshments following Mass
