A Reflection

[Project Life](http://www.stlyouth.org/projectlife/)... hmm... this year's weeklong service project came with a quote... a strange quote. Well, anyway, here it is: In Weakness, Power Reaches Perfection! Huh? Don't look up—someone will ask you what it means! And then they kept talking about it—all week long! Too bad it wasn't one of those one-time talks that we could forget about! How can we be weak and have power that is perfect when we just said that we were weak? O.K., O. K.—we're gonna talk about this all week? I guess I'll figure it out 'cause I don’t get it. Whose weakness—mine, yours, theirs? Strength? Well, I did work harder... kinda enjoyed it... more than I would have at home. It was those people... they seemed so weak... I just wanted to help them... One time I was draggin' and my team carried the project. Hmm... weakness... power... somehow I think God is in that phrase. I saw God's work through Project Life. I can't say why, but he was always so present. Yeah, we prayed a lot but that wasn't all of it. I felt when I got down he lifted me up and when others were down somehow I had the strength to lift them up and when a group of us went out to work together and we saw the poor or underprivileged down... that we didn't even know. . . we lifted them up and—the weird part—they lifted us up in their weakness by how they made us feel. Go figure! But you know what? I get it! In weakness, no matter whose, God will send someone to act, through him—in power... and the world will be perfect —well ... at least more perfect! It's a God-thing—in weakness—trust God—he will bring power from somewhere—you, them, him—somewhere, and it will be o.k.. It's all about trust. Hey, thank you Project Life team, for working it out with me. I'll have to look for the power in the weakness next time life's not going so good. Can you use that phrase outside of Project Life service weeks?
