On Sunday, April 20, 2008, the Sheraton St. Louis City Center will be host to an exciting event that promises to cause a stir in the fashion industry. The Pure Fashion show will hit the runway for the first time in St. Louis this spring. Doors will open at 2:00pm, with the show beginning at 3:00pm, followed by a reception.

Tickets start at $40 for general admission and $50 for front row seating. Pure Fashion is a faith-based program that encourages teen girls to live, act, and dress in accordance with their dignity as children of God. The show will be hosted by Miss Missouri 2006, Sarah French! Our keynote speaker is John Tracy, CEO of DotFoods, local leader and father of five. Last but not least, you will hear from Leah Darrow, member of the Pure Fashion Team and former participant in America 's Next Top Model, as she recaps the 2007-2008 Pure Fashion Model Training Program! Don't miss this summer's 2007 GODSTOCK!* We are kicking off the summer with a night of music, food, fun, art and connecting teens to faith. On Saturday June 2nd, Sacred Heart Parish in Old Town Florissant is having its second annual GODSTOCK. Teens from all over the St. Louis area are coming together for an amazing faith experience.

Everything starts with a Contemporary Mass at 5:00 pm where we will celebrate with the World Youth Day cross. After Mass, fill your face, jump into meeting new people, play crazy games, listen to the live music of the Karl Zimmerman Band and In A Week , be uplifted by inspirational speakers like Liz Buncher and Kyle Klosterman and use your artistic talents to create some art.

We will be filming video for the event that will be made into a program and shown all over the St. Louis Archdiocese. Things will wind down around 10:30 but the new connections could last forever. Admission only 5 bucks.

Starting at 6:30pm, we'll have an array of culinary concoctions availabe to put your tastebuds to the test! Vote on your favorite Chili prepared by the intrepid, daring and sleep deprived OYM staff.

What's that, you want to get in on the competition yourself? Well, you're in luck, as we are inviting our guests to bring a dessert to enter into our guest contest, with prizes and the potential to win an uber-cool, professionaly* designed, trophy.

As for the singing-voice, feel free to take a break and let the food digest by bellying up to the Karaoke machine. Show us your skills**, and we'll show you the money.

What's Cooking you say?

Well, on January 12th the staff of the Office of Youth Ministry will be putting our cooking skills to the test… and you are the judges. The OYM staff will be making CHILI using various recipes for our first annual Chili Cookoff! We want you to tell us who cooks the meanest chili. I don't know about you, but this is one event I would not want to miss! The competion is heating up as each of us is practicing on our familes and friends to come up with that best recipe. Each of us wants the bragging rights for that best cup of chili, and we need you to help determine WHO COOKS THE BEST at the OYM !

The evening starts at 6:30 in the Fleur de LIs Room at Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury. Please bring your favorite dessert and that too will be voted on as to the best dessert of the evening. Yes, a lot of voting going on !

We will also feature during the evening your favorite karaoke songs for your entertainment and enjoyment. If you have any favorite karaoke tunes, bring them to share and sing.

Again the date is Friday, January 12th, 2007 at Cardinal Rigali Center at 20 Archbishop May Drive, Shrewsbury.
